The Gatlinburg and Sevierville Chamber of Commerce organizations offered their Members the opportunity to hear first hand from Senator Bob Corker and U.S. Rep. Phil Roe during a Joint Legislative Luncheon held February 20, 2009. The event took place at Wilderness at the Smokies. Senator Corker talked about the issues that may affect area businesses focusing on the current economic crisis. Deb Woolley representing the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce presented Senator Corker with the National Association of Manufacturers’ Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence by representatives of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Both Chamber Executive Directors presented both Corker and Roe a Hand Carved Broom from Ogle’s Broom Shop in Gatlinburg , and a Robert Tino Print marking the 75 Year Anniversary of the Great Smoky Mountains.
